Vogue Fashion’s Night Out is coming to Manchester

Vogue Fashion’s Night Out, the global celebration of shopping and fashion taking place in Manchester for the first time on Thursday 10th October 2013, today announces the first details of participating stores, brands and events confirmed to date. Vogue will be partnering with designers and retailers in the city to create the most exciting shopping experience of the year, as Alexandra Shulman and theVogue editorial team take Fashion’s Night Out on the road.

Luxury fashion brands including Chanel, Burberry, Giorgio Armani and Christian Louboutin are already confirmed for participation alongside high street labels Topshop, H&M, Office and Marks & Spencer. Manchester heavyweights Selfridges and Harvey Nichols will be holding events, whilst beauty brands such as Vidal Sassoon and Jo Malone will also be opening their doors for the evening. Salford University will be celebrating the work of their fashion students in the landmark Exchange Square, Vogue’s main hub of activity, whilst the city’s Chinatown will be paying tribute to Asian style with a catwalk show, Cantonese banquet and after party. Galleries, restaurants and museums in Manchester will also be opening late in celebration, along with local start-up businesses and the city’s Arndale shopping centre.

To mark the evening, the official limited edition Fashion’s Night Out t-shirt has been designed with a Manchester inspired sports motif, commemorating the event’s move from London to the capital of the North. The t-shirt will be supplied by GAP and sold for £18 in many of the participating stores and online, with proceeds going to Save The Children, the international charity that creates lasting change for children in need all over the world.

Since 2009, VOGUE has partnered with thousands of designers and retailers to celebrate fashion, in an effort to boost shops amidst the turbulent economic climate.
