On the Beach, the package holiday experts, crashed CHANEL’s fashion show with a cheeky ad van as celebs arrived for the highly anticipated event.
As Timothée Chalamet, Kristen Stewart and David and Victoria Beckham arrived in Manchester’s edgy Northern Quarter for the Metiers d’Art event, so did On the Beach’s ad van.
Celeb spotters, CHANEL fans and attendees to the show looked on as the van beamed out its hilarious message.
Featuring a very expensive CHANEL bag, the advert read:
This bag’s £5,093 cheaper in Turkey.
(May as well get some sun while you’re there too)
The advert cheekily refers to the many markets in the popular holiday hotspot where you can buy fake designer bags such as CHANEL accessories.
It was also displayed on a large outdoor digital billboard on Oldham Street in Manchester along the route that many of the show’s stars took to the event.
Zoe Harris, chief customer officer at On the Beach, said: “Our head office is in Manchester so when we heard CHANEL were coming to town we couldn’t help but get involved.
“Let’s be honest, what would you rather have, a CHANEL bag or a couple of two-week, all-inclusive holidays to Turkey, New York or Dubai?
“I’m sure some of the celebrities and superstar models in attendance will have seen our ad and will be getting on our site to ‘bag’ themselves a bargain tomorrow.”
The advert wasn’t the only one displayed on the van as it paraded round the streets of Manchester ahead of the show either.
Another called out a different CHANEL bag that costs an eye-watering £4,810, reading:
£4,810?!
Timothée and Kylie could get an all-inclusive, loved-up fortnight in Benidorm for less than this bag’s strap.
CHANEL model, Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner are currently dating according to reports and with Benidorm still one of the UK’s most loved holiday locations, it’s obviously a match made in heaven.
