Throughout the month, new opening The Anthologist on St Peter’s Square are putting on a series of boozy beauty brunches with top-notch beauty and skincare brands Bobbi Brown, Charlotte Tillbury, La Mer and Dior.
Head down for brunch on Saturday for a spot of pampering whilst you sip on Bellinis and learn from their in-house make-up masters how to create the hottest new looks, all for the brilliant price of £12, with your choice of eggs Benny, Florentine or Royale. Plus a Bellini, of course.
Pixi pop-up at Harvey Nichols

Manchester’s first ever Champagne Blowout bar
Spinningfields is alight with the news of a new blowout bar, situated next door to the 20 Stories entrance. Blowout Kate London bar has been founded by former fashion creative director Katie Nixon after spending a year living in New York, the official home of the blowout, and brings together the feel of a champagne bar with the final results of a top-notch salon.
With no mirror in front to distract you, enjoy your champagne and then spin around at the end to admire your stylist’s handiwork. Open 7am to 8pm with prices ranging from £30 to £33, including a glass of fizz. And there’s no need to feel bad about cheating on your hairdresser because it’s only a blow dry.
Age Before Beauty premiere at the Lowry Theatre
Acclaimed Eccles writer Debbie Horsfield will premiere her new BBC One drama at the Lowry Theatre on Thursday 26th July, screening for the first time at 6.30pm followed by Debbie in conversation with BBC Radio 5 Live’s Anna Foster.
A family saga set in a beauty salon in Manchester’s Northern Quarter, the series explores youth, age, instant gratification and long-term relationships in the beauty industry and has been filmed in locations across Manchester.
